Some Additional Side Effects:
Shrinkage of the testicles, stamimax reduction of the sperm count, infertility, baldness, development of the breasts.
For the women.
Facial hair growth, changes in or cessation of the menstrual cycle, enlarged clitoris, deepened voice.
Premature arrested growth through premature skeletal maturation and accelerated pubertal changes.
Most Remarkable Changes
Athletes who use steroids can be identified by the following symptoms:
A) Fast weight loss and muscle gain.
B) Purple or red spots on the body.
C) Swelling of the feet or legs.
E) Unexplained darkening of the skin.
F) Bad breath.
G) Increase in aggressive behavior.
Finally, you should not forget that some physiological effects of steroid use can have profound effects on the mind, causing temporary personality changes in some. Users may exhibit uncontrolled aggression and violent behavior called “raid roid”, in addition to severe mood swings, manic episodes and depression.

The Five Steroidal Facts
The facts and scientific evidence that indicate the use of anabolic steroids for your health are dangerous. But I prefer to present you five of the most specific examples. After digging a lot and spending a lot of time trying to find the top five, here they are! The first two facts will be based on the most important muscle of the human body. The heart! When using anabolic steroids, do they do it because they want their muscles to grow well?
As we said, steroids make your muscles grow more (that’s the good part), but they affect all the muscle growth of the body (including the heart, of course, and that’s the bad part). The heart is a muscle that is also affected by steroids and the health consequences can be very very serious.
Fact No. One:
A group of bodybuilders who used steroids were compared to bodybuilders who had never used steroids before. The hearts of the men were examined by echocardiography. They found that during steroid cycles users had left ventricles (the main heart pumping chamber) that were 25% larger in mass than non-steroids!
This increase in mass caused the walls of the heart muscle of the steroid user to be almost 20% thicker while using steroids. Although the heart was larger during the use of active steroids, the cardiovascular fitness of these individuals was almost 18% less than non-steroids.
When steroid users were off steroids, their heart size decreased, but never returned to their normal size! Now, if you think it was just a “coincidence” and nothing else, read the second fact very carefully.
A study published in the journal “Cardiology” offered a unique perspective on the effects of prolonged use of anabolic steroids and cardiac function. The study was unique in that it involved fraternal twin bodybuilders, one of whom has used steroids for 15 years, while the other was drug free. Both men had trained for more than 20 years.
They were described in the study as extremely large with deep muscle hypertrophy. They had won different state and national titles in bodybuilding and powerlifting. The twins had body fat levels below 10 percent, and followed the same diet and training regimen on an annual basis.
Hypertrophy refers to an increase in muscle size, due to the enlargement of the cells as a result of strong training.
The primary test to access cardiac function was echocardiography. Both men showed normal blood pressure readings. The drug-free twin showed a testosterone level of 6.2 nano grams per milliliter of blood, and the steroid twin had a higher than normal level of 11.5 mg / ml! (The normal range for testosterone is 2.8 to 8.8, and as you can easily understand, the steroid twin had testosterone levels almost three times higher than normal)
Echocardiographic tests showed that both men, with similar genetic backgrounds and the same diet and training regimens, showed little difference in serious cardiac function. However, the steroid user showed a larger size of the left ventricular wall with a decrease in ventricular adherence. (That means that his heart’s pumping chamber was BIGGER than his brother’s, while it was also a bit stiffer!)
